Drew Cameron & Drew Matott - Combat Paper

Drew Cameron and Drew Matott are the duo who began and manage Combat Paper. Combat paper is a traveling paper and book-making workshop that works with veterans to create books and other paper sculptures out of pulped military uniforms as a way to engage the veterans in discussion and dialogue about their experiences while in military action.

Natalia Pilato

Natalia Pilato is an artist and co-organizer of Community Arts Collective in State College PA.  Ms. Pilato has been nominated for the David Award for her coordination of several large scale murals in central Pennsylvania.  Looking at the mural project in Williamsport, PA, she worked to change the lives of young children living in an impoverished area of the community.  The student involvement in generating ideas and participating in creating a mural about themselves growing and learning has made a lasting impact on the kids' lives.  They learned about community, vision, and purpose, and will have a lasting memory of the mural they had a hand in painting.

Jill Jayne

Jill Jayne is a "rockstar nutritionist" living in New York City. Using her talent as a musician, song writer and performer, and her credentials as a registered dietitian and masters degree in nutrition education from Columbia University, she is creatively working to address childhood obesity. Her music-based performances that teach students about nutrition and exercise have been performed for over 100,000 kids across the country and featured on national media including NBC, FOX, NPR, The Washington Post, and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Leif Steiner

Leif Steiner is the founder and creative director of Moxie Sozo, a design firm based in Boulder Colorado.  Mr. Steiner has been nominated for the David award for his coordination of the Hurricane and Haiti Poster Projects.  These projects are collaborations between artists and designers to raise money for the victims of these natural disasters.  The hurricane poster project ended up being 180 poster editions that sold to raise $50,000 for the Red Cross.  The Haiti poster project continues to take submissions and has, to-date, gathered 513 posters from designers world-wide.
